has anyone fitted normal 'house' mains sockets, switches in their MH instead of what the MH manufacturer's fit, is there an issue why there not fitted originally fitted?

Just one as an inverter outlet.

No reason why you can't but don't use normal mains cable, it's not flexible and will fail due to vibration.

If you want matching fittings:

Absolutely no reason why not.. they are identical in all but colour .. all my RV sockets were standard white 13A ..

but be aware, there are a lot of cheap 13A sockets about.. avoid.. they won't last.
Rather buy a quality brand.. such as MK .. the old saying.. good no cheap.. cheap no good.

Can't remember ;)
Used MK on our self build :thumb: with Flex from a hook up lead for the wireing - there may be a odd Crabtree socket out of sight :winky: Thinking about it,Truth be told I think SWMBO wanted brushed satin double sockets a couple of yrs ago so I may well have changed them  will have to have a look next time in the van,as I don't really look simply plug in and know it works ::bigsmile::winky:
