My old Dethleffs didn't come with the straps for the Fiamma bike rack, so after spending two years securing the bike wheels to the rack with cable ties I thought I'd treat it to some proper replacement straps.
Then I saw the price - and with four bikes it would have cost around £40 to £60, depending on whether I went for the simple nylon straps or the fancy new style.
Then I stumbled across bike pedal straps! As far as I can see they are identical to the Fiamma nylon straps with a chrome grip buckle, but only cost £2.25 a pair! That's a saving of at least £31! :thumb:
Just search for bike pedal straps on ebay. Some cost a bit more, but look for the ones that are £2.25 with free postage.
