Crossed the border into Germany to find a Stellaplatz for the night, first one stupid French idiot had parked their car so a Motorhome couldn't get into the alloted space and no other suitable place in the carpark for a reasonable size van. Luckily another one 10km up the road. Just a couple of spaces in a carpark fine for us and free.

Out of interest, what time do you have to start looking for your parking space. Also what’s been the most amusing time finding one.

Depends where we were some you need to be there by midday others 6 pm is fine. Friday is the worst day in France but Saturday normally ok.

I'm a FLT you can't go up the steps without paying €8.50 a person to enter the Citidel.

We walked down to the town via the footpath through the woods.

Don’t tell anyone but I went up the cable car
Apart from the view not much to see.
Spent a day and a half in Dinant and that was plenty.
Went in the river cruise and it went the same way as me and Mrs CC walked in the morning.
Could have saved ourselves an 8k walk

Having a beer down by the river I chose one of the weaker ones only 7.7%.
Surprised to find beer is cheaper than in France.

Watched a few coaches go through there and it made them slow down for sure.
Made me slow down taking the car through.
Cannot remember but think it’s 2.6 or 2.7 wide

First time we stayed at the Citadelle I couldn't understand why the Commomwealth War graves were involved in the little cemetary there when all the flags were French and German.Went in and had a look round this time and tucked away in the back corner.... air crew if my memory is correct.

Filled up with LPG in Belgium this morning blimey it ain't 'arf gone up, last September €0.35 Lt, today €0.49.

Been an expensive trip for a FLT over the last 4 weeks spent a total €61on camping, ouch! That's over 2 Euro a day. No chance of talking the boss in letting me get the air suspension now.

Just found your thread after 3 days with no Wi-Fi or 3G. It was also good to meet you both at Pont a Mousson. As a moderately novice motorhomer and a very novice funster, I’m sure it was an informative evening, if only I could remember. That amount of wine has that effect.
We’ve now reached Austria on a slow meander down to Croatia, all going well so far. Hopefully we’ll meet up again sometime.
P.S. this is my first post!
