Judging by the number of mentions it receives on here, Morocco seems to hold quite an attraction for some. I've never visited the country, reasoning (rightly or wrongly), that it's probably not too different to neighbouring Tunisia - which I wasn't particularly impressed with.
Brochures and 'tinterweb thingy reveal some lovely places - they would, wouldn't they? But our Gov website doesn't exactly paint a glowing picture; poor roads (especially minor ones), stopping in remote locations not recommended, street crime (pickpocketing, mugging, drive by bag snatching) to name but a few of the "watch out fors".
So come on guys (and girls), what's the draw? Is it just the challenge of going that bit further, or is there something truly special at the end of the journey?
