Just had 4x Conti Vanco Campers put on & took the opportunity to nip across the road to a recycling depot to get weighed...
So total was 3180 which is pretty much the same as I had from last year and way under the 3400 max but I also wanted axles for tyres - trouble is it was one of those above ground units with a small ramp - I did the best I could getting the front just off the bridge to get another weigh. I'd love to have a 3rd but the guy was getting a bit tetchy so I didn't push my luck.
So rear was 1520, well under the 1900 max and by subtract I estimate the front to be approximately 1660, which ok I guess with a max front of 1750.
Anyway to get to the point - following funsters recommendations, I phoned up Continental Tech Services, gave my details and the very nice Emma advised that 3.75bar (54psi) front & 4.00bar (58psi) on the rear should do nicely.
Well I'm surprised - I'll need to be letting some air out, the fitters put in 70psi all round.
From general reading, I thought recommended pressures would be a lot higher than 55/58
Anyone else surprised?
