hilldweller
LIFE MEMBER
The last episode of Hilldwellers' heroic quest for winter sun.
Benidorm Fails.......
.......to disappoint.
Arrived yesterday, quite a draughty day coming south from Peniscola, some violent attempts at lane change, but still warm and sunny. Got our pitch. Said hello to Brisey and Pam. Walked to Chinese, eat a well deserved meal.
Today walked to the beach. Heaving. 90% of bars and restaurants open. Sun shines. Positively hot. Along to our favourite bar, two lots coffee/brandy/crepes (€11). Bliss, we are well and truly here now.
The place is full of life, that is why we are here.
The site and the front seemed to be predominately Brits. Ancient Brits, averaging out at about 102.
This time we see more stretched limo two seater mobility chariots, charging around in the spirit of Boudecca, got help anyone or thing in their path.
So that is out travelling over for a month or so.
An overall impression of Spain right now is a country "on the up", in Peniscola lots of "little boxes" being built again.
