Ideas for our 1st proper trip (1 Viewer)

I am looking for ideas for our 1st trip away, we live in Somerset & I am looking to get away from 27th May for 5 or 6 days but do not want to travel more than about 70 miles from Shepton Mallet.Has anyone got suggestions or ideas that fit this criteria?


Motorhome is a Hymer B644 so I am getting used to the size of it & want to avoid narrow roads for my first few adventures!

Lovely area, 2 great pubs within walking distance & great cycling, you can take bikes across the starcross to Exmouth ferry & cycle the rounbd trip via Exeter

How about the CC site at Cirencester? not too far from Shepton, roads are OK ish if I remember rightly.If you forget something you can walk into town to get it. Don't forget the bottle opener ( Big Sin) and enjoy.
My Father came from Shepton and I have not been there for years.. Do you still make babysham there?

Yes, Babysham is still made at the factory.They sill have the giant Babysham outside the Showerings factory but it has moved from its original position & is not so visible as you drive pass.

this is truly wonderfull right on the cliffs above the entrance to plymouth sounds dont expect luxurious facilities but the surounding area is like stepping back in time its far enough away to break the journey for a night and you get to go on a ferry all good practice for the big one next year
