Hello,
Wanting to go bigger and have spotted the above van for sale. Seems to have been with current owner for 7/8 years and very well looked after on the face of it with lots of extras and a full reupholster. It’s a 2004 model.
Has anyone had one of these that can pass comment/advice?
Many thanks

That's the time when Autotrail made great quality vans. I met a guy on a site in 2018 who had a large 2004 AT and the interior fit-out was fantastic.

Besides the usual service history, van checks, etc, then the only thing I would check is the condition of the base vehicle.

......otherwise the old ATs are good quality vans and nothing like the new tat they produce today.

Good luck,

Andrew

Hi Sidders
Great vans, well built and specced. I have owned a Chieftain Tag axle (2003) and my present van is a 2006 Cheyenne Tag axle (probably Arapaho next, love the end lounge)
Both vans returned approx' 24m' to the gallon.
Extra cost for tyres, servicing etc due to 3rd axle.
Cam belt approx' £300.00 to swop.
5 speed, need to change down on long hills.
Bomb proof engine.
Great driving position and very stable ride due to extra axle.
Big payload.
Lots of cupboards, lockers etc'
Lousy turning circle.
Excellent bathroom, quality fittings throughout.
Most have super large fridge freezer.

Can be difficult to find a parking spot in towns etc'
Never had a problem on sites though.

Hope this helps and good look, If you need any specific info just let me know.

Cheers :drinks:

Fab, thanks for the info guys👍🏻
I believe it’s the same engine I’ve got in mines (fiat Ducato 2.8). Must say having come from Mercs previously, I had no expectations but have been impressed by both engine and handling on the Alko Chassis.
