Since 2016 and caravanning before that
Looking for an overnight stop with a view to going to Wellesbourne market on the Saturday then into the town on the Sunday. I've emailed two sites that claim to be year round and not heard back from either. Does anyone know of a site that might suit? We would like hard standing as it is January and a nearby, dog friendly, pub would be a bonus.
We will take up Britstops in March but it's a lot of money to get it now just for this one night.
Any help much appreciated

Unless you really want a campsite...
Back of leisure centre in the middle of Stratford, overnights allowed and not expensive.. (y)
£2 overnight... Link Removed

R u on Facebook ?? There are groups like Camping pubs where you can get free info on pubs that allow stopovers.

There is a site at the entrance to Stratford Racecourse.

Stratford Touring Park
Stratford Racecourse, Luddington Road, Stratford-on-Avon.

There's Greenhill Park campsite Bearley any other time of the year, but its closed at the moment as he's just come down to Benidorm with us until end of Feb.

How about Ingon Bank Farm Certificated Location ?

There's one right by the airfield but I'm not sure if it's open all year round.

Newlands Caravan

Thank you everyone. Newlands is one of the sites that hasn't replied, sadly. Not sure about camping in the Leisure Centre. How secure would we feel? And, as to a CL, in January we were thinking that hardstanding might be a safer bet than grass. May change plans and still go to the market on Saturday but have just seen Somers Wood on Practical Caravan TV so that might be an option with a visit to the Motorcycle Museum on the Sunday.

My wife and I stayed at the back of the leisure centre and our experience was a positive one. We stayed on a Saturday night back in October last year, very quiet with only another couple of MH's joining us for the evening.

We will be using again in the future(y)

Thanks Hellski....did you stay in the van all evening or leave it to go and eat or have a drink?

No problem.

Just to advise there's a skate park sited to the rear of the leisure centre in the rear corner by the tennis courts but again, no issues whilst we were there. The car park is well lit and to be honest we didn't see or hear anything that would have given us concern.

We were happy to leave the van and walked into town for a meal, returning around 10ish.

Have seen mostly good but also a few concerning comments online about the Leisure Centre car park - several mentions of large groups arriving with caravans  & they felt uncomfortable & moved on. This may be a rare occurrence but maybe worth having a Plan B.

Thanks again.
This forum really does show its worth

Hi We are on Dodwell park at the moment has showere it is about a mile or so from town but there is a bus stop outside the park. There are about 8 hard standing pitches available at the moment and about 11 Motorhomed here at present. There is also dog field if you need it.

Brilliant. That was the other one I had mailed. Knowing that you are there means that I will phone them. Thank you

We are off on sat to Spain to join any Funsters in Benidorm but Linda and Dave the wardens are very helpful. Forgot to say there is also small shop on site. Hope to see you before we go.

Have seen Mohos parked on the road past the railway station [Station on LHS]It is free for 2 hours and free after 6 pm so you could stay after 4 all night. Nice quiet road, not much through traffic as trains stop early in the sticks , we would wild camp there if we didnt live here!!
