Mainly as we are juggling up time to travel to Europe to see no1 son and his new son. Is Scotland doable say late October to early December or does the weather get the better of it ? Not too worried about cold nor short evenings but would rather not drive through monsoons or get cabin fever

We finish our touring Scotland summer season first/second week in November and start winter season in December!

Cheers folks

This was January a few years back for the wife's 50th on Harris and Lewis. Had a brilliant time.

We live in the north east of Scotland and love to get away in the winter, the scenery is more spectacular and the colours on the hills unbelievable. It does get cold, the days are short and can be wet/dry/sunny/snow al, in the same day.
