I hope so.It depends
I’m guessing if it’s a fill point on the side of the camper maybe ok but if they see hatches open or bottles showing it’s a no
Hopefully those of us with a dedicated external fill point will continue to be allowed.
Morrisons forecourt businesses are now all MFG owned unfortunately.I see no mention of Morrisons in that notice.
And Morrisons and MFG are not, totally, the same thing..
and in any case, I take my Safefill cylinders to local guy who fills them for me.
Apparently this happened last night, they don’t have a clue what they are saying but when did that ever stop anyoneI'm not sure of the date on the notices.
I filled my GasIt bottles, within external fill point. Yesterday at Cardiff Morrison's.
MFG are Morrisons petrol forecourt owners they took them over last year .Looks like MFG partners with all the major fuel suppliers including Morrisons. I hope it is only the Safefill & calor bottles affected.
I have a diesel Truma heater & compressor fridge on my wish list. That would probably reduce my gas usage by about 95% or more.I expect that it would be very easy for them to simply refuse any motorhome until you persuade them that you use LPG for propulsion. It's not exactly difficult to detect.
It has become quite a lot more difficult for me to find LPG in the UK for a while now.
I'm due to replace my Gaslow cylinders. Wonder whether future-proofing doesn't involve progressively moving everything away from gas. Not cheap though...
Time to buy some Gasbank cylindersI hope it is only the Safefill & calor bottles affected.
Seriously, it is looking more like an option, although expense is not the major obstacle.I wonder whether future-proofing doesn't involve progressively moving everything away from gas. Not cheap though...
Depends on the operator. Hardly noticable with the guy who does mineI still can’t get used to the blow back on release
Just for balance our local Flowgas distribution place at Earle’s Colne industrial site where the airfield is is more than happy to fill safefill and any perpose made refillable bottles but not the ones that are not made to be refilledI've posted before that Flogas stopped Safe fill and similar stand lone bottle refills after people started filling Calor and Flogas bottles with the #10.99 adaptor from eBay.
We are lucky to have a Flogas depot in Peterborough and I always get a friendly wave when filling up as they know I can manoeuvre our nearly 10 metre RV without them having to open an internal gate system after the initial barrier.
One reported story was a guy passing hose into rear door of a car and someone was holding a bottle on their lap!! Didn't seal or overfilled or whatever and vented INTO the car....... Very lucky boy to walk away.
eBay rubbish has spoiled another thing for genuine sensible Motorhomers.
Easy answer , fit a remote filling point to the outside of your unitI hope so.
