We stayed ten years ago, when it appeared in the first edition of BritStops, and before the smart new restaurant and shop were built.

It's in a very handy location, being on the A5. And we were pleasantly surprised how quiet the road was overnight.

We've been back since for a bite to eat in the new restaurant and very good it is too.
