Getting there!
Hi all.
I've got a Reich mixer tap in my Hymer that has stopped working. I've taken it apart and the cartridge has a broken piece so needs replacing. It says Reich 412 on it and it appears to be a 25mm cartridge.
According to the specs its part number is 240-05741 and I just wondered if anyone knows if a 420-06741 will fit?
Also there are several 25mm cartridges available at different prices and I'm trying to find out:
a - if they will fit
b - is it better to buy a genuine one (£26) or a replacement (£5) - considering the original has broken!

cheers
CHris

Get generics, they would have to fail quite often to make the Reichs cost effective

How does one fit the replacement cartridge The tap head appears to have a slot at back do you push in a small screwdriver

With ours it was carefully remove the red/blue indicator and unscrew the grub screw underneath. Make sure you check which way around this is so you put it back in the same way around!

Hi Jock,
have you had any experience with these replacement cartridges? They seem to have two pins sticking out of the bottom which I assume are to locate it but the Reich original has a small tag sticking out just below the knurled bit to locate it.
I'm not sure the tap would work if the cartridge could turn freely?

cheers Chris

The original does look different, and as the O.P says, quite possibly won't fit.
Shame, the 35mm ones are a shoe in and cheap as chips.
Mike.

Think it's possibly a Reich Vector S tap (https://www.jacksonsleisure.com/caravan/motorhome/marine/reich/12v/vector/s/mixer/tap/) you've got and if it is I THINK the cartridge your looking for is Reich SKU:22054312.

I don't think the 25mm cartridge with the dimples on the bottom/sealing face would work with this. That might be a SKU24006741 for a Reich Trend S Reich tap.

Sorry Chris, but my only experience of these cartridges, is with the 35mm ones, which has been nothing other than successful. 🤷‍♂️

Good luck resolving your issue with the 25mm ones, but TBH, I don't think you will be disappointed, and at those prices, buy half a dozen, as as sure as eggs are eggs, the other taps of the same age are sure to faill soon too, ie, sod's law. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. :)
