Puncture Safe

I had it done one once. It could have worked but I'll never know but I never had a pumpture, but who knows. It seemed OK for three year's.

Had it about 11 years ago in all the tyres. In all the time, it was good but we did get get a puncture.. It worked as it sealed but decided that it needed a proper repair.
You must, and I did, tell the tyre fitter that you have the stuff in your tyres. I haven't had it done in the current set

Had it done at one of the shows on my van 2 years ago by Gary Oko https://okopuncturecontrol.co.uk/ He's at all the Warner shows I don't know if I have had a puncture, the whole idea is it seals instantly, and when it does the seal is supposed to be as good as a repair so you wouldn't know. if you contact Gary mention this forum he might give you a discount.

I had it put in our last van Globecar Campscout in 2017, I also fitted a TPMS system, and last year on the motorway the warning alarm came on for the front offside tyre pressure was reducing and at 53psi the pressure held and got us home.
When I sold our van 8 months later it still held.

Tyrepal advise not using a sealant in the tyres if you use their system. If liquid get in to the sensors they can fail. I choice tyrepal over sea lent as I would prefer to know if there is a problem

i have had puncturesafe in our van tyres for the past 8 / 10 years. first time i had it done by contractor. since then i have DIY'd it it is easy if you can jack a wheel and remove the valve and reinflate the tyre yourself.

the simple kit comes with applicator and unit measure on the bottles.

no problem when comes to changing tyres and despite what some will have you believe there is no issue for the tyre fitters.

i appreciate we all have our choices and this is one of mine. it does not of course substitute for normal good practice with tyres; correct pressures, regular pressure and condition checks.

Also prevents any leakage at the tyre rim so tyres stay at the right pressure for longer. No problem for a tyre fitter as long as you tell them, otherwise they push the tyre off the rim while still pressurised and pebble dash their workshop. I've used it for many years, though it won't heal a sidewall gash, and I did b*gger one tyrepal sensor, possibly because of the sealant.

I did put it into my van tyres but I had a lot of vibration through the steering wheel at around 60 mph so I took it out and fitted the Tyrepal sensors

No argument with the efficiency, provided it's installed correctly.

But a Kwik Fit foreman fitter told me they wouldn't repair a tyre that had had the teatment (presumably the sealant didn't work properly) as they couldn't clean the stuff off to make a proper repair.

I use a TPMS too as I'd much rather know what's going on - and I also do a walk round before setting off (almost!) every time, not just for tyres but anything else this ageing old brainbox of mine might have forgotten!
