Does anyone know of a good wild camping location in the Bude area?

Very limited but we stayed in the carpark next to library and fire station by the canal, it cost £5 for 24 hours last year,
We are 7.2 m long and stayed within the lines in the carpark but some of the bay's are slightly smaller,
Easy walk into town or beach and good restaurants by the canal,
Water tap by canal edge for visiting boats,
Before anybody says anything we only stayed 36 hours, arrived about 1900 hours and purchase ticket for the 24 hours at 0800 next morning when the car park officially opens,
There are a few roads with no yellow lines but we decided the car park was ideal for us, we had a lovely time and Bude's economy slightly improved with our visit (y)

Thanks but Bude is in Cornwall and Cornwall Council prohibit overnighting in all their car parks.
It's only 9 miles away to Holsworthy :p

Sorry, I was only trying to help......

Yes, the two car parks in question are both privately owned and also very good value for over-nighting. The remaining car parks in Tintagel are all controlled by Cornwall Council and no go areas for overnighting.

We stayed at a caravan site at Stibb if you pass the caravan site down the hill there is a car park at bottom it is National Trust one. We retuned later in year and parked there over night. This time of year not sure but the beach is very good.

Duckpool carpark, North of Bude, stones through from sea. Toilets there but not sure if locked at night.
FREEEEEEE, normally see the occasional van overnighting on my way to work.

Good bass fishing from rocks if your into it.

Cheers

StanandShirley may have stayed at Sandymouth, just over the hill from Duckpool.

Born and bred 2 miles from Duckpool.

You could try the carpark opposite the Brendon's Arms in Bude. It is a private carpark and owned by the Brendon. If you had a meal in the Pub they may let you stay FOC.
Ring them be either a yes or no!
