Just discovered a switch/button on the dash of our 2011 Adria / Ducati which I never really noticed before (in the 9 years we have owned the van ).

It's about the size of a penny and has a neat little round button and a tiny red LED which illuminates momentarily when I press the button. However, nothing else appears to happen - which is worrying and now I wish I hadn't pressed it.

There's no reference in the Fiat manual so I am presuming that it is an aftermarket item but I don't remember having it fitted for anything.

If anyone recognises it and can advise it's likely purpose it would probably be appreciated (so long as the explanation doesn't create any further stress!)

Thanks for that. I've now been thru the bundle of docs that we received when we picked up the van and have found a Cobra user guide for a Bridge 4400 CAN and sure enough there is reference to the 'button' and the PIN # but I don't seem to have the sticker for the PIN # so am unable to use the function. I note that one of the functions of the switch is if you need to override the alarm if you have lost the key. We only have one Fob key - our spare is a metal key so IIUC this will not deactivate the alarm (if we lose the FOB key and have the spare with us) but will get us back into the vehicle.

I now need to see if I can find out the PIN altho' I found a useful hack on the Lotus owners site which might be worth a try but takes a bit of time - a project for a rainy afternoon!

I guess I might be able to get the PIN from Cobra if I have the serial # of the unit. Any ideas where the Cobra Unit might be fitted on a Adria Coral 2011 - Fiat Ducato?

Cheers
