caravan (for now)

on and off since 1984
Today we moved from the wonderful beach side campsite where we have been for 2 months. We have a caravan and it's been great. But......... leaving the site, after all the packing up that goes with a caravan, I needed the mover to get off the pitch, then again to get off the site. Arriving on the next site I took a wrong turn and had to unhitch to turn round. Then I needed to unhitch to get through the gate and again to get on the pitch.
A caravan is a good option of we are staying for a long time, but when traveling give me a Moho every time 🙄

We've had both. As you say if you're going to spend a week or two in one place fiddle around with an awning waste master aquaroll etc a caravan wins as you have a car on site and more space than a MH. If you're moving around a lot the caravan is a faff.

Towing caravan is okay if you have been to a site before and know where your going, it's probably best if you have a look on Google Earth and then approach with caution.
Good luck! 👍

There's a great deal of difference when one is young, strong and fit or older. 😀

We made the change to a caravan because we wanted more space, we have a long caravan, then we changed the car and now tow with a pickup truck. The whole unit is almost 40 feet long, so unless there's plenty of room in front, a tight turn is difficult. But we have been on the same site for 2 months and there the caravan is much better than a Moho, so I have to take the rough with the sooth.
