mmmmm, a van, quarter of a century old.
Not sure I would have bid that much.
100,000 miles, on one of the most reliable engines ever built.

New MOT but requires a lot of body work and needs new cills.

Has Factory Cab A/C , very rare on those old Mercedes.

Bit of work and TLC, would look great and serve a good few more years.

Even if you did nothing to it, used it for a year and sold it. Cheapest rental ever

I’m just sad I missed out

That would be 15 to 20 k euros here in spain. I was looking at Transits yesterday & plenty of homologated camper vans were coming up at eyewatering prices.

A project indeed. Turning it round with welding and paint would net a good profit.

Engine will cover at least another 150,000 miles. My 1998 Van managed 250,000 with ease.

Main points I could see, texting seller was the bodywork.

If I won it, I would have sent it straight to a decent body shop with a van size Spray booth. Off road Grey or Silver Metallic. New Graphics.

Then sorted out the A/C, recover upholstery, new mattress, tidy up inside.
