If you were wondering how effective these rain water dispersal / injector protectors are, I would personally say "very". I have a brand new Ford based Bailey Adamo and it rained on Saturday. I thought I would check the protector and it had quite a bit of water in it. The MH was on a slope, so the water collected away from the drain hole on the other side. I only purchased the protector, because a friend with an older Ford Transit based MH had to pay over £600 to get his injectors drilled out and re-installed. They were locked solid due to corrosion. The £140 I paid for the protector will be worth the money in my experience. I've realised the rain water is seeping through the edge of a plastic sill (See red line in pic of the join area) that sits just below the windscreen. The water runs down the arm of the windscreen wiper (shown in the attached pic).
I suppose the alternative is to remove the windscreen wiper arms and then the sill to put mastic between the plastic and the windscreen, although the water would then no doubt find its way into another part of the engine bay and down somewhere else where there are electrical bits that would be damaged.
