WHEN SHOULD THE FIRST SERVICE BE CARRIED OUT?
Servicing must be carried out every 45,000 km (40,000 for 2.2 engines) on Euro 4 engines. Servicing must be carried out every 48,000 km on Euro 5 engines.
We do recommend however, if the annual mileage is low, that the engine oil and brake fluid are replaced every two years.
Between services, we recommend that you check the fluid levels and perform routine checks.
The effective oil and oil filter replacement interval depends on the vehicle usage conditions and is indicated by a warning light or message on the instrument panel, or in any case they must be changed every 24 months.

On our 2015 Ducato, it is 20,000 miles or 12 months if the milage is low.

The later x290 model has narrow headlights.
If you are having it serviced, beware the dreaded fuel filter leak. Best to fit a complete housing and filter as they always leak after a service if the housing isn't refitted with a proper tool.

For the latest X290 / X295 range they are 30,000 miles or 24 months, whichever comes first.

Mind blowing. My previous bike had an oil change interval of 4500 miles. Just a bog standard very ordinary Suzuki 650.

2012 2.3 130 Hp Ducato

My service light came on last September at exactly 27000 miles, although I had changed the oil ever year or about ever 8000 miles.
I had to have the service light reset while in Eastern Germany, it cannot be reset with out the right computer.

Mine is 2016 model with 2 year brake fluid, pollen filter oil and filter change interval or earlier if warning light shows .
This is the basics of it as many provisos .

How can I tell?
Difficult in an A class because you can't rely on the narrow lights on the Fiat cab. I think the X290 has a black rather than grey dash surround. And I think that the X250 has a centre glove box whereas the X290 has a couple of cupholders there. Oh and the service intervals are different on them :D2

We've got a centre glove box

Our 2015 Ducato 250 says first full service due at 28,000 miles or two years.

I have a HOBBY. Fiat Ducato 2016 .my book says 30.000miles 2years.it is important that you imform fiat dealership .of any small operating irregularities without waiting for next service. If you use for regular towing .interval between service must be reduced

@Jim

I've just uploaded a copy of the Ducato X250 handbook and DPF supplement to the Resources Area.
Might be of use to someone?
It's in the "Manuals for motorhome stuff" section but might have been better in the "technical section"? Can you shift it, if necessary.

Another thing linked to service intervals is cambelts & in 'hot' countries ,like here or Italy, the change period which in the UK handbook is in miles , chamges to the same amount but in kilometres !
I queried it with the Ford dealer here knowing that the UK recommended change was 150k miles & my book was showing 150k kilometres. Dealer said this is due to the excessively high temperatures the belt operates in compared to Northern europe & the possibility of degradation was much greater & so it was reduced. If I recall correctly the "years " changed as well ?
Although I had no reason to disbelieve the answer , as it was printed in a Spanish handbook, I actually checked with Ford Europe & they confirmed it.

Might also be worth bearing in mind for people who spend a lot of time down here or over in Morocco ?

Here you go. Service for X290.

Service interval is around the 30K mark or 24 months but I don't have the manual with me right now. Just had first service done last week on my 2015 van @ 7000 miles.

Oh boy, you can see where that is heading can't you.

Some of you dudes and dudettes may find the following videos interesting... I have never tried it, but would... That was the disclamer!...

And now, starting with the Fiat Ducato:

And the Peugeot:
