Hello we are thinking of upgrading our motorhome for 2017 auto-trail tribute T715 and would love to know what you think of auto-trail.
If you have owned one have you had any issues
Not worried about the layout that's a case of each to his own and compromise.
Do they have a good reputation etc.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and thanks again if you respond.

Can't help you I am sorry except to say that the Tribute range by Autotrail are the budget range models and have a slightly cheaper looking interior, less padding in cushions, lower window frame casings missing etc.
Good luck with your purchase whatever it is.

I bought a new apache 700 back in 2012..
In 7 years of ownership it had damp issues for 6 years, back to the factory 3 times..

That said i still like Autotrails and my previous older models were built a lot better. Away from the damp problems it did us proud, almost 30k miles in the first 2 years with 2 Morocco trips and many down to Spain. Lots of owners never have any issues but you also get many who do and the dreaded damp / water ingress seems to be the real problem.

If your buying a 2017 model, check if the ingress warrantee is still valid and all hab checks are up to date so your covered (y)

When i changed vans in 2019, for my money, i could have had a brand new Autotrail but instead went with a 2014 Burstner.
More than happy we did.

We bought an Imala 720 new in 2016. There have been some minor issues which I have tended to deal with myself, but we've generally been happy with it, and have no plans to replace it for some time.

Thanks for this I did a search but didn't find this.

We I'm glad I asked the question, thanks for your responses and Ernesto for the link we have change our minds and are back to looking again I thought looking was supposed to be the fun part butihate it just looking forward to continuing to enjoy our trips without worrying. We have had our Laika more that 10 years and been all over Europe and loved it, its just that like me it's getting old and it's time to get a newer one.
It's a good job the wife doesn't think like that

Bought out Tracker EKS new in 2014.
Only had both side windows renewed under warranty due to a known seal problem.
It’s solid, practical , reliable, seats 10 people if party space is required in inclement weather , king size bed (yes we have to make it daily) plenty of storage , nothing has broken and we have visited 15 countries in it.
Brilliant.
Mitch.

Had a Auto-Trail Imala for a year. The van was fine.
I would suggest you buy a damp meter thing and test any van you maybe interested in yourself. Don't rely on what is presented to you.

We had an Apache 700 for 3 years , damp in rear left window at rear lounge , then damp in window at dining area , both fixed under warranty. Spent a fortune on extras ( Gaslow , air con, bike rack blah blah ) Having said that we loved that van , space and internal finish was great , window sealing let it down . Eventually downsized to a PVC as I use it as a 2nd car since retiring and got a decent trade in at the time.

Reading all these posts, there are a lot of positive comments about many elements of their vehicles. If they put just a bit more effort (and actually not much money for a few extra tubes of Sikaflex), they would have a really stronger offering and I'd buy another. What a shame as I'd much rather buy British.

We have owned two Autotrails a 2004 Cheyenne 696g and a 2013 Tracker FB liked them both and no damp in either we changed from Cheyenne to tracker simply because layout was better for us we covered 25000 miles in our Tracker without issue it was a great van.
would certainly consider an Autotrail again in the future.😊

Not many reviews on the vehicle you were after I.E. a Tribute ,i have a Tribute T615 sport 2014 ,bought it in 2016 and have had no issues with it in fact i have had 6 vans and this is up there amongst the best. I did have the upholstery changed in 2021 for firmer foam but that's the only upgrade .Its on the transit 2.2 which has plenty of pull and there's loads of storage. In my opinion the build quality is as good as most other vans and i have toured Europe for at least 2 months every since buying it .
