I know it's a daft question - but as we have the UK oven fitted - we don't have a cutlery drawer. I'm interested to learn what solutions anyone else has come up with?

I’m guessing your kitchen is like the one in my SMC i550 - two big curved drawers?
I got a standard plastic cutlery tray (designed to go in a house kitchen drawer).

This rests across the two metal bars which go along the sides of the drawer. To make it fit perfectly, and not drop through, I stuck some L-shaped plastic strips along each side.

The tray can be slid back and forth a bit, to help get at things underneath, or quickly lifted out of the way.

perfect - I looked at something like this but couldn't find a cutlery drawer of the right size/sufficient rigidity. I'll have another look and see what I can find. Awesome thank you :giggle:

Have you got a pic of the L shaped plastic strips if possible please - I’m not quite sure I understand what you mean .
No worries if it’s too much trouble.

The tray I used is designed to sit in a (home) kitchen drawer. It’s 395 mm front to back, and 374 mm wide.
It would slot in between the metal bars of the Hymer drawer “OK”, but was a bit loose. It also only rested on the bars in two places - at the very ends of the curled-over rim.

I had in the garage a bit of white plastic trunking, 16 mm wide. It even had a strip of double-sided foam sticky tape along it. With a Stanley knife, I trimmed off one side of the trunking, leaving the base and the other side in an “L” shape. (See pic: cut off where the red line shows.)

The thickness of the plastic and the foam tape added just a couple of mm at each side - and the tray then fits snuggly. The “side” of the trunking - now sticking out horizontally - provides a full-length surface to rest on the metal bars. The trunking is made of a slightly soft “waxy”-feeling plastic, which makes it rattle-free and easy to slide.

(You can also buy ready-made L-shape plastic trim, and loose double sided sticky tape, of course.)

Hope that helps!
