Des ( of Des n Donut fame ::bigsmile::winky: ) bought a wind turbine genny a couple of months ago intending to use it on his mobile home..

For some reason he has now changed his mind ( how unusual ! ) and has decided he no longer wants it.
It is a 400 w max jobby, so will keep everything charged nicely even in a light breeze ( I know cos I tried it :thumb: )

He is looking for £200 for it delivered..
You can see the identical one Link Removed

As I said, apart from putting it together to try it out, it is brand spanking new...

I enquired about these a while ago it appears they are 3 phase and need extra electrics to use them, how did you manage to try it?

Simple.. I used an old motorbike 35 amp reg rec.. Loads of em on fleabay ( even found a new one for 99p for goodness sake )
The output goes straight to the battery

We ran a 55w headlight bulb for a few ours in a very light wind indeed ( living on the edge of the forest means we are VERY protected from all winds ) and the battery was still at 100% when we finished ! :thumb:

Update ..

Des has just popped in with a brand new reg rec unit. un-opened and with the plugs, so all you need is to put the wires from the geny on to the reg rec and the output ( all clearly marked ) goes straight to the battery .. the same type I sell for £76.00 in fact :)
If you want that as well he said £220.00 inc postage
