So, we're buzzing along happily heading to Porto on the A28. At J17, Mrs Google takes us off because we've specified no tolls. Fair enough. But then she takes us back on at J16. So the pay section is one junction long? Really? Or is something else going on? Anyone familiar with this motorway?

I suspect it is google getting confused. We were happily going up the M1 with no tolls set, and as soon as the overhead signs for M6 toll appeared on the same section of road as the through M1, the mapping system tried to take us off the motorway.

Mrs Google is easily confused. There were great big signs saying the toll is only payable electronically, which we can't do, so we would have got off anyway. But we were back on at the next junction. So what were the signs referring to? Strange.

No, I tried out the route later that day and it still wanted to take us off. Also, you can see the rejected route highlighted in red if there is a jam or accident.

Always found satnav's a bit iffy with toll roads in Portugal, always OK in other countries.
