Hi all, our truma seems only blow hot out of some vets and blows cold air out some others .
Having looked at the unit itself only 3 of the 4 warm air outlets are actually warm.
Anybody come across this before ?
Thanks in advance.

Try closing the 3 hot ones off and see if you get warm air out of the "cold" one ?
Not sure if it will prove anything, but it might give you a lead to something else ?

My vent furthest from the boiler only puts out any heat if running full blast on gas. Just a lot of resistance due to the long pipe run. Closing some of the other vents should push more air into it.
Heating on electric is pretty feeble at the best of times.

I dont think its a 'balancing' issue as the warm outlet is cold where it exits the unit itself but just to try your suggestions i'm gonna run it on gas and check to see if anything changes .
Also gonna shut all the vent other than the cold ones .
Note- all the cold ones are one side of the van, blowing well still but no warmth to them .

The blown air all leaves the boiler at the same temperature. If some of it is cold before it arrives at the furthest vents then the air needs to be hotter when it leaves the boiler. As already said the electric heating is feeble at a maximum of 1.8kW. What size motorhome are you heating with your 4E Truma.

If it turns out to be OK on gas, then I suspect you may have a blown electric element, resulting in very poor heat output.

At 7.4m I would not expect your heating to work well at all vents on electric only. There may well be nothing wrong with your heating. This is the output for a Truma 4e.

In my 6.9m motorhome I donā€™t expect much more than background heating on electric only. If the weather is cold and I want warm air out of all the outlets I put my 6e on full gas. Your 4e on full gas is 4Kw and even this is likely to have to work hard in cold weather.

My LWB (6.9m) superhigh roof van has a Truma 4e and it makes the van red hot on gas in the coldest of weather so far. We soon have to turn it down once itā€™s warmed up

Not yet tried it on lecky as we donā€™t stay on sites.

There is no possible way that can happen all four outlets connect to the same chamber unless there is something in the vent blocking it.

Top right hand outlet doesnt get hot on lecky.
Run it on gas and close all other vents then the cold vents will get luke but not nearly as hot as the others .
I'm still confuddled

Have you disconnect the pipes from the heater to see if all the outlets are the same then.

Absolute beginners.
Is there a "boost " setting on the fan speed of the 4e?
It is blowing OK, just not warm ?
Mike.

Boost is only for the hot water on ours .
If you have the CP-Plus controller which you must have as you have the boost setting, if you select fan you can select High which will run the fan at full speed, the Eco setting fan speed varies with temperature.

As you can see from the diagram I posted there is only one heating chamber
I'm gonna strip it out tomorrow and look down that pipe as theres gotta be a blockage if thats the case .
3 warm pipes and just the one cold ....but still blowing strong ......so how can there be any obstruction?? šŸ’ā€ā™‚ļø

Not the air convent for summer is it ? ;) No, it's an odd one that's for sure. Let us know the conclusion, if you can find one!
