Hi all, anyone out there got a Swift with pull-out bumper level lockers?
I picked up my new 774 in December and after 500 miles winter driving we pulled onto a site fir a local shakedown stopover. Luckily.
Could not open either draw for love nor money. Solid. Hose, cable and of course tools in there ( not now!).
Back home crawling beneath I could see the brackets and runner on the forward facing side immediately behind the real wheels are totally exposed to the water and dirt thrown up by the back wheels. The runners were caked and already corroded. Dirt all over the lid of tge pull-out boxes also.
My grandson wouldn’t have designed it like that!
After dismantling, cleaning and lubricating the runners I found a large plastic storage crate and cut out two panels including a couple of inches of the return of the crate bottom and installed immediately in front of the forward facing sides.
Works fine and problem solved.
Reported to Swift, they’re still thinking about it…
Hope this helps somebody!
