If you go to Porth Beach and are a member of Camping and caravanning Club they have some Temporary Holiday Rallies there. Its certainly worth checking this out then you will pay ÂŁ20pn, otherwise it could cost you ÂŁ40 - ÂŁ50 on
they have good facilities, showers, toilets, laundry etc.
Definitely book before you go.

Try the River Dart Country Park near Ashburton. There are lots of CLs around as well. Just don’t try to spend a cheeky night on Dartmoor in the van!

We're off for a short week and a bit down that thar way... anything recommended to stay at, see, or even avoid lol? 🙂 All ideas welcome. Cheers.
Make sure your navigator can navigate!

Try to avoid most of the Cornish lanes, average width is one tractor wide, which means vegetation scratches down both sides of your motorhome (most polish out).
Cornish hedges in the miles of sunken lanes may look like soft green pillows, but they are full of granite!
Ensure you can reverse when required.

That said, lots of pretty villages, a coastline designed for chocolate box lids postcards and calendars, several castles and stately homes worth a look (I like Cothele best), lots of amazing beaches (Daymer bay is a personal favourite, with the John Betjemin Church).

Towns worth looking at include Fowey (the W is silent in Cornish), Falmouth, Truro, Mousehole (Pron: mouzol), St Michaels Mount/Marazion (it means Jewish market), Helford, St Ives, Padstow & Rock, several hundred miles of stunning coastal path if you like walking (Alpine conditions) and finish with a cycle along the Camel Trail (No Camels, Arabs or Palm trees, but you may find the occasional drinking hole)

Learn some basic Cornish
(No, they are not English any more than the Scots are.
Like Wales, Cornwall is a Principality, when they say 'Foreigner' they mean 'Not Cornish')
Kernow = Cornwall
Drekly = mañana
Orilrite m'lovva/m'ansum ! = You are in with a chance of service!
'tis blamed emmets = Keep quite and scuttle off
Proper Job = The task has been/needs to be done to an adequate standard
and it is not insulting for females to be referred to as 'Maids'
