Good afternoon,
Can anyone recommend an easy to use Schengen Calculator. I've tried several, but am unsure, because I want to do 2 trips to the Eu this year, and seem to get conflicting results

The extra week uses the remaining unused days out of the original 90 days so once it's allocated the app calculates when the next allowable day is which is approx 7 weeks later once the January days drop off.

Comparing the two examples, the week in April breaks the 90 day gap so brings in the January period. It is a really good calculator as it avoids making mistakes like in the second example and avoids a lot of counting.

But the second example is clearly wrong

The blue days in the second example are exactly 90 days in 180. From the 181st day the first of the 90 no longer counts. It doesn't matter that the gap of 90 days has been cut. Or we have been getting it wrong since it came in?

But if you had one day less in April you would only lose 8 days rather than nearly 7 weeks:

If you do the counting on each example, they are exactly correct. Shows just how confusing it is!

The calculator assumes you are there on each of the days. If you fly home for a day on July 18 all the days after are 90 not 91. So only lose one day not six weeks.

Sorry didn't see all the small numbers on my phone screen. Seems it may be a useful app for seeing if you are likely to overstay but I don't think it's much good for planning as all the days turn red when you only need to lose one day to turn 6 weeks to blue.

Each to their own. I find it perfect for planning as you can click & play as much as you like. And yes, one day can make a great difference. But it reacts instantly so is easy. I like it so much that I made a contribution to the developer. I use it mainly on the PC though which I find easier.
