Peugeot boxer 3.0hdi 2008 eng warning light (1 Viewer)

Hi all, I have an orange eng warning light coming up and I have had it in my local garage a couple of times now, but still not rectified. They changed the accelerator pedal the first time, the second time they replaced the throttle body and harness. I gave it a good run out when I got it back then and all seemed well. Today we loaded up and set off expecting to have a week away and the bloody warning light has returned along with limp mode as before.
I don’t want to return to the garage I have been to previously as I have lost faith in them. Can anyone recommend a Peugeot boxer specialist in the West Midlands / Worcestershire area that will be able to sort this for me. We are booked to go go away in 5 weeks time down to Spain for 3 months, so must have it sorted quickly. Thanks in advance.

I don’t know what codes I have as I don’t have an obd reader. The garage told me that they were seeing fault codes referring to accelerator pedal, originally. I e
Would have thought that it will be exactly the same as symptoms haven’t changed. Warning light has been going away but returns after driving so long, followed by engine going into limp mode, then after a while tick over increases to @1500 rpm. Sometimes I can pullover, switch the engine off and it will clear. I don’t want to take it back to the garage I have been going to, as I don’t think they have a clue where to go now. I need a mechanic who has boxer experience.

An obd reader will only cost you £15 or so. Easy to check and will save the garage ripping you off.some will erase the codes to get the management light to go off but it will come back if you don't fix the issue.
You could also try disconnecting the engine battery for 15 mins or so to reset the ecu system.

I’ve ordered a an obd reader/scanner, due on Thursday. Then hopefully I will be able to delve into all the knowledge on here and come up with a solution

I received my obd reader today and it has come up with the following code:
P2135
Throttle / pedal position sensor / switch A/B voltage correlation.

This is what the garage has reported to me previously and they have replaced the accelerator pedal, throttle body and harness.

If anyone can recommend a garage or person to go to, I would be grateful, otherwise I will try and find a Peugeot garage that will take a look at it for me.

I would suggest you go to a Peugeot dealership, they may have software updates for this model, I wouldn’t risk taking it to Spain with this fault, Yes, it will cost you more than an independent, Peugeot dealerships along with other makes spend thousands on computer software, they have no choice as they have to buy the updates.
