It is said that you do not need to wash the vehicle but I am a bit old fashioned and do wash it off first. However the product is excellent, no smears whatsoever, good on glass, easy to wipe off, and well worth the £19.99 price, less 10% loyalty card discount.
Spoke to my retired brother yesterday who runs a Transport Museum, they also use it in very large quantities an swear by it.
