Hi, we have a Auto-sleepers Orian Dorado, last year the glass sink lid shattered everywhere, I need to buy a new one, where is the best place to get one? Our motorhome is similar to this and you will see the glass lid https://www.autotrader.co.uk/motorhome-details/202312054561901?advertising-location=at_motorhomes

Many thanks 🙂

It looks like it may well be a Thetford sink you have and it's possibly a Spinflo Argent like this one.

We had a PVC which was missing the sink lid when we bought it, and I made a new lid from Perspex.

We removed our glass sink cover (rapido 8096df) and replaced it with a bamboo chopping board. Had to cut and shape to glass profile. Now have relatively knife friendly heat resistant surface, that doesnt shatter is anything dropped on it.

Just added leave open if sink wet to avoid the dreaded black mold stuff if left closed when you get home.

I think I would ask the manufacturer Autosleepers.

Thanks for the feedback, I will have a look. Also does anyone know the type of material they use for the seating? Not the same pattern but the same thick woven material? Would like to get driver and passenger seats done. Thanks

Made a sink cover out of a resin chopping board off ebay.
My old Burstner had a wooden one - just put a hole in it for lifting out and ventilation

If you let folk know whereabouts in the country you are (roughly), I'm sure you'll get some good recommendations for companies to do this.

As Busby got made in local fireplace glass maker. Took a template got it made and painted to match the sink, £80. Thetford no longer did it.

I had to replace a shattered glass sink lid last year. The manufacturer could only supply the whole sink unit, appropriately priced. I made a thick card template and went to a local glazier. They made up a lid in matching tinted glass then sent it off to be toughened. The cost was under £50.

many many years! since I was a kid
as above, a thick card or thin ply cover cut and drilled to fit and then get it copied in toughened glass. Another tip is laminate it with transparent adhesive safety film.
