Megeve - Tour de France (1 Viewer)

This years TDF goes through, finishes and starts in Megeve on 3 consecutive days. This would make a good base to watch the race. Anyone got any advice on suitable motorhome parking ?

@Jenben are you looking for parking during the Tour or before and afterwards?

I have some Aires marked on my map in that area but nothing in Megeve itself.

Parking to watch during the tour @ jumartoo, maybe for two vans ? Camper contact suggests there is motorhome parking at the casino supermarket but nothing else.

Have a look at the route itself on Google maps and spy where there appears to be room for parking - all such places will soon get packed so you need to arrive fully stocked to last you a few days.

During TDF normality is suspended on route, any aire will be well full, motor homes will be parked on any available space and even some non available spots. So future planning is extremely hit and miss, it's best to turn up early (several days give better results) and hunt around for somewhere suitable

@Jenben Megeve is a ski resort and will have a fair amount of parking but, like the others have said, you will have to get there early and hope you can find things to do for the days previous to the tour.

Thanks all, we have been to lots of TDF stages before and so understand the logistics and timing.
However we have never been to Megeve, we are looking for local info on the resort if possible. Anyone stayed there and can pass on some knowledge ?
