We have just moved on to Lousal as listed in All the Aires book and listed three pictures from our van door.
This an old mining town (only tiny )that has had a bob or two of EU money given to it and now has a rather swish mining museum and two or three nice looking eating shops.
When it said mining I some how thought coal but now realise it was Pyrites apparently for the production, amongst other things of sulphuric acid and fertiliser as a by product.
As you see from the picture the old mine shed and winding head a very derelict but supriseing enough, unlike England, there is not a single sign saying danger keep out and it has become a tourist attraction and today has attracted several enthusiasts with some really nice restored vintage cars.
