Please could someone tell me if this MH is worth the £19,500 the owner wants for it?

It is a 2001 '51' Autosleeper Pollensa based on a Transit 2.4 TD 125 bhp. Two owners, FFSH, 40,000 miles, 4 berth, cycle rack, awning, top box, Truma Ultraheat, tow bar, "immaculate"

not much help to you at all however any vehicle is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it.

Always get an rac or aa or motorhome specialist to check the vehicle over for you before you buy, check the service history and do HPI and MOT validation checks too.

Have a good look round,if you cant find something else you like more for the money then it is worth it..

I like autosleepers and they have a good reputation..
Cant go wrong with a Transit. just check for rust.

sog is an attachment to toilet that sucks out the gasses so no need for chemicles..

Looks about right compared to this

I watched this one, two years newer and only 12,000 on the clock, not sell for a top bid of £18,000.....

Be carefull, it sounds as though your about to pay out money for a van unseen.

Photos and product descriptions can be very persuasive but what you see is not always what you get.

Ask yourself would you buy it for £22,000, or £25,000, or £27,000. You will very quickly identify the value of the mh to you.

A Motorhome or RV is worth what anyone who wants that particular model will pay. In MY opinion? You can buy cheaper and better. :thumb:

Firstly never buy a vehicle with out seeing it and if private get a full check and HPI it as well, I personally think the price is a little expensive, make a offer and see what happens, but to get a idea of the price search the internet and look for similar vehicles it will give you the rough idea of the value

also not many people will be buying in the next three weeks so they might accept a sensible offer

remember there are lots of types of vans to look at and dont just rush in

In my opinion it takes nothing too look if you like what you see ask buyer if you can test drive it home and see if it fits your parking area.I f hes keen to sell and genuine that wouldnt be a problem to me ( you said it was local ) Then tell seller you will have a hard think and bid him low and see how you go.Nothing ventured nothing gained

its what its worth to that counts, try phoneing a "motorhome wanted add" and see what you could sell it for.....sneaky but you'll get a true idea of what its worth

It took us ages to find our Konitki and we were looking in the same price bracket as you which meant dodgy dealers and not very honest private sellers. For me I paid as much attention to the person selling the van as the van itself. So many rushed through stuff or didnt know much about the van or didnt know how things worked. So I just walked away. Eventually I found the right van and I just knew. The people were nice we spent hours with them. You really need a good hour plus driving the thing and you need to see everything working. Heating, all electrics, water (hot and cold), water on gas, water on electric, waste, toilet (you dont have to actually use the toilet) all the taps working. Check for signs of leaks and damp everywhere including the cupboards. Has it had a habitation check? Service history?

If they have nothing to hide none of this will be a problem. Its almost like buying a house and its a lot of money if you buy a duffer.
