Hiya everyone

Both our front indicators have stopped working.

The side indicators are fine as are the back ones.

Cant seem to work out what has caused it.

Would a bulb blown in one automatically stop the other working?

All suggestions welcome xxxxx

Have you checked both front bulbs??

it is possible for both of them to have blown.

I will continue to wrack my brain for any other ideas but the circumstances you describe are unusual

Probably unlikely but do the bulb holders share a common earth which is faulty?

I once had a problem with an indicator after some work had been done on the car wing which resulted in a bit of muck getting between the contact on the bulb and that on the bulb holder. Wouldn't have thought it would happen to two at the same time but it might be worth cleaning the contacts with a bit of emery paper.

I don't know your specific vehicle but first check if the 4 ways work properly if they work then the problem most probably lies with the 4 way switch (sometimes you can get a clue by waggling the 4 way switch) - if it does not work then possibly the 4 way flasher unit - many vehicles like yours have the two systems linked together through the switch or the 4 way unit - if you are not certain probably worth spending on a good auto electrician to sort it as changing parts just in case can be an expensive excercise as you can guarantee it is the cheapest and the last part you try that was faulty.
