I have just stayed at Hortham Farm CL site for three nights as I had taken my younger brother up to Southmead Hospital to have a cancerous growth in his kidney frozen. (a new procedure apparently)
This CL site is really handy for both Southmead and Frenchay Hospitals 6 or 7 mile to either.
There is some traffic noise as the M5 and M4 join less than a mile away but at £8 including hook up and water I thought the site was very good.
There is nothing within walking distance and the village of Almondsbury is a mile or so away but as we were into the hospital a couple of times a day we did not seek out facilities near the site. In the Caravan Club sites directory it says that it is open March till October but I would have said by the look of things it was open more of the year. Link Removed
