Browsing through some motorhomes for sale (neighbour looking to buy one) I have noticed a few where people have covered the shelves in foil?
Is this to cover up the ageing corrosion or would it help keep some of the cold air inside the fridge every time you open the door?
Just wondering if this would help the fridge?

Is it an easier way to keep them clean....just take out and replace the foil as opposed to the entire shelves?

Reduced air flow slightly , negligible.

Best way to make you fridge run more efficiently, pack it quite full.

Refrigerators are designed to cool products, not air.

Each time you open the door, cool heavier dry air falls out and is replaced by warm air that then has to be cooled again.

That warm moist air freezer on the evaporator creating an insulating barrier (think igloo effect). So if the unit does not auto defrost properly. the more issues you can have.

The less air exchange, the better.
