Meeting family for a day in Cleethorpes week after next

Can anyone recommend a van friendly spot to park up?

It might be a bit busy being summer but we often park at the meridian line car park. Last time we were there it was free and it’s used a lot by camper vans and motorhomes.

Motorists will now be charged to use popular Cleethorpes car park

The first two hours will remain free, but otherwise it's a flat £1.50 rate between 8am and 6pm.

not sure if the proposed car park is up and running but its on the main drag just before Haven.

I sometimes park up overnight on the side of the road in the parking spaces either side of Alexandra road, parking restrictions 8am - 7pm limited to 1 hour no return in 1 hour, after 7pm no restrictions, so from 6pm till 9am basically, there are some proposed moho spaces being allocated in the carpark near the boating lake but not live yet and then Meridian point will be closed off, there is a camp site near Meridian point as well

Have they put the height barriers up then? Last time we were there 6 vans were parked up for the duration complete with stuff outside.

The field at the end of that car park used to be the overflow car park used by campers and motorhomes during the day and occasionally overnight. It was likely costing too much to cut the grass so the gate was locked.
Being local it’s not somewhere we would stay overnight but it was nice to walk along the bank and sit looking across the estuary with our chips.

The best one for day parking is the second one on the left after you pass the leisure centre, just after the mini roundabout that goes into the shops and McDonald’s.

The best one for day parking is the second one on the left after you pass the leisure centre, just after the mini roundabout that goes into the shops and McDonald’s.

If you ignore that CP. Go past McDonald's, KFC etc then turn right before Premier Inn, then turn right into the CP. (Not Premier Inn) This is currently free with no height restrictions. Although the nays are only standard size. So look for a one with an overhang to suit your size.

Which is where to my understanding the new motorhome overnight parking is to be located. Opposite the Premier Inn hotel and next to the narrow gauge railway station.
