We have a new to us Hymer that has a Caro Digital CL Installed but not currently working. There seems to be no power to the box in the van and have checked both the fuses on the box, the fuses on the EBL but nothing.

There is also no power to the small display that shows the channel numbers but I suspect is related to the same issue.

I suspect there are likely fuses elsewhere but of course, nothing is actually labelled so not sure exactly where to check.

Any suggestions or thoughts gratefully received.

Good morning orridge

The Caro Digital CI receiver has a small power switch on the receiver. I know you may already be aware of this but as it isn't mentioned I thought I would mention it first. If that makes no difference I would next recommend removing the 3 pin power connector from the back of the box and, using a voltmeter, measure across the red (perm live) and brown (earth) to see if you have power on the line. If you have power on the line then it's most likely a fault with the receiver which, if you ship or arrange to bring it here to us, we can try to find out the problem for you. If you do not have power on the line then we can still diagnose the fault however we are an Oyster specialist not a vehicle specialist so it may take us a little longer than someone with more knowledge of the vehicle to find a wiring issue.

Hi Anthony

Thanks I did check and we do have power to the 3 pinpower connector so probably best to get the receiver checked out with you.

Good morning Guy,

I would say that's the best thing to do to however just before you remove the receiver try pressing and holding the two outer buttons on the little display box (we call it a Sat Mouse) to see if it powers up. The receivers do have a power save mode that will seemingly cut all power to the system when retracted and it will then not open with the remote, only the Sat Mouse. If that works the remote will then control the system whilst in operation. It will go dead again when retracted however I can turn this setting off for you over the phone if needs be. Alternatively please send the receiver to the following address and I can have a look at it for you.
