Does anyone know any nice spots not to far from Cambridge for wild camping? Preferably near a river or lake please

Across from the service station at Cambridge West (I think if memory serves), there is a restaurant called Herbies and adjacent to The Travelodge. They said we could park there as the services were £32.00 a night for all vehicles. Ok, we had breakfast when it opened (and really good) and Moho washed at car wash and still quids in.Does anyone know any nice spots not to far from Cambridge for wild camping? I would not go anywhere near here as the A14 is being updated at its absolute chaos and will be until 2020Across from the service station at Cambridge West (I think if memory serves), there is a restaurant called Herbies and adjacent to The Travelodge. I can't disagree under normal circumstances but sometimes needs must as mine were that occasion but I had a solution. In an ideal world with planning but we don't all live in an ideal world and planning can go awry quickly but it's just a tip, not a compulsory stop.I would not go anywhere near here as the A14 is being updated at its absolute chaos and will be until 2020
Thank you very much. In France at the moment. Had horrendous niggling problems but getting sorted. Thank you.Welcome back @EX51SSS

Just looked at the website, and it says height restriction 2.1m, So, presumably height barriers? The park n ride at Trumpington allows motorhomes, we used it last year. (the only one around Cambridge). Worth checking out if they allow overnight.

When we used it last, they send taller vehicles down a filter lane. Worth phoning them to see if its still available. I just phoned them and the office is closed until 8am Monday. Tel 0345 045 5213Just looked at the website, and it says height restriction 2.1m, So, presumably height barriers?
