I have an Aprilia sportcity 300cc, same engine as the 300GtS but a better brake and suspension package, telescopic forks, double disc on front single disc on rear. Great bike for mountain roads. If I had a wish list it would be a longer seat, trouble is most with a longer seat are then a bit too big for garage so I would either have to tow or hang on the back.
Second that 👍🏻

I towed a GSA1200 for a few years but found it such a pain loading/unloading and the problems with towing was off putting. We the decided on a rack (Max capacity 150Kg) and I compared options - see attached spreadsheet. The Honda PCX 125 was our clearly the winner, even two up. Comfortable, fast, reliable and fantastic fuel efficiency - Never looked back!

I really wanted a Honda sh 300 as I'm a massive honda fan.
But on this forum came up a low milage Piaggio Beverly 300 @ nice price.

Good choice you'll find the Piaggio is nippier than the Honda, especially two up.

I quite fancy a Piaggio Beverley 300. Can any owners who keep the Scooter in their motorhome garage let me know how large their garage door is & how much of a tight squeeze ?
Thanks

First moho 11/2013, second 11/2014 current from 09/2019.
We had a Honda Vision 110. Not enough power for two people and more importantly is was no fun. Sold it.

Last December I bought a new 2022 model Husqvarna Svartpilen 401. Lots of fun, plenty of power for two up (43kw) and is 152kg. Bargain at £4400 new if you shop around.

Just putting it in the van as we off to the Hereford meet on Thursday.

Same as the KTM DUKE 390 but the Duke is cheaper and a bit lighter. (and nicer colour😊👌 IMO)

Are we having ped racing at Hereford then? 😆 Looks like a bit faster than the ones Jaws has at the Bash! 🤔

We were tugged by the Gendarmes coming down the hill towards Arromanches at 70+MPH 2 up.

He couldnt believe how fast we were going and extremely interested in it when talking about the weight and only 110 cc. He was positive it had been zooped.

Went everywhere on it (and still do occasionally) Glossglockner in white socks and sandals !

Hi thanks everyone, we went with the piaggio medle, took nearly 3 months to be delivered 🙈. We’ve had it about 6 weeks now and love it, it easily takes both of us plus a load of shopping and can get up to 70 mph on a motorway, it also makes it up the local 15% hill with us on 😂.

thanks everyone for the help

I'm a bit late I think. But if not, take a look at the electric Silence SO1
Like you, I also have a trailer and a rack (Watling-130kg) and a Triumph Bonneville. I wanted the same things. Good two up, capable speed, low weight and a bit of storage when needed. We bought one in March 2021. so 2.1/2 years ago. It's been perfect. 60 mile realistic range per charge, loads of room for two helmets under the seat. Only 100kg's or so without the battery inserted, so well under weight for the rack and charge the battery in or off the bike as suits you.
Pricey though at just over £6k. Love it and very pleased we bought it. its off to Spain with us this weekend.
