You are getting a drop of 11c which is not bad , depends on the device , what make and model is it , as 12v compressor aircon would be very amp hungry I would expect , are you running thru inverter ? Lofty1

Yeah sounds like it's working. Has it really been "topped up"? Or is it the sellers sales talk? If it has been topped up it might not last long if it still has the leak.

Also what refrigerant is it on? 1998 is old and it might be on R22 which is now obsolete.

Lofty1 just testing on a battery as not fitted it uses a 12v motor driving a air type compressor ran ok for an hour without dropping the battery to far.

Where did you buy that refrigerant? Never heard of it, Wikipedia says it does exist and is chemically known as "Dichlorodifluoroethane" but gives no information about it. It's not in my Bitzer app either ?

If its run just from a single battery for an hour , then it suggests that the charge is still not at right level , and it is not drawing enough power to get down to correct level . If you can say what make it is then it would be possible to get better info . Usually a 12v aircon is a evaporative type due to power needed for compressor type . Mostly compresor type are 110/220v run thru an inverter and have a big draw, even with soft start !
