Just putting this out there in case you're considering renewing a British Passport.
I applied for mine in the local Post Office last Thursday. They took my photo, entered all the details and sent off my old Passort.
The new one arrived TODAY!
That's 5 working days. Unbelievable!

Did OH's last year online. As I recall it was reasonably speedy. Mine expires in March but one is reluctant to leave it too late in case of any hold ups. We haven't got a 'proper' post office anywhere near.

Since April 1846 but have always camped.
About 5 years ago our PO was moved into the minimart. 2 years ago that closed and lost our PO. Despite petitions and MP involved nothing happened but now we have a temporary PO in the local pub that opens for 2 hours a day twice a week but post may not leave on that day. Its just a joke! This is Helmsley a market town.
