We came across the "holy grail of the hippy trail" a few years ago.
It's a walk from prats balaguer.
Basically piping hot sulphur water comes out of the mountain and into a series of man made pools which are hotter the further you go up.
There are no photographs of this as half the people are naked, most are smoking joints, and a few are in the bushes !
We didn't go this time !
But what I did find was 3 other less well known ones.
I could tell you exactly where they are, but, there seems to be this written rule that you ought to earn the right to enjoy them.
There are several different ways to get there and even more ways to get lost.
If you have been reading other journals you will know where we started from.
Here are some photographic clues for you to earn the right to have a free steaming hot sulphur bath that not many people know it's whereabouts.
There is another one within 400 m
And the last one we may pop down to tomorrow.
On the way back is the photo of the petit jaune train track which we were told wasn't running today but it passed us !
These are the extra photos of the gorges de caranca that I couldn't fit onto that journal entry
