Hi boys n girls!
We were in Beziers in southern France two years ago and sank into the clay soil after a huge thunderstorm flooded the campsite. The staff on the campsite obligingly used a telehandler to pull us all out of the mud. I put the towing eye into the threaded hole in the chassis rail behind the blank in the front bumper but because it was all gummed up with paint it would only go in about 3-4 threads. Naturally the telehandler pulled it out before the van moved. They attached a ratchet strap to the underside and dragged me out eventually I’d completely forgotten about it until the other day when reorganising the locker that has all that kind of stuff in it. The van is back in storage now, I didn’t measure the thread, anybody know what size it is so I can organise a tap n die to ensure the towing eye will screw in all the way into the bumper? Sorry to be so long winded!
Cheers!
Russ
