The aire at Trebes (1 Viewer)

Just arrived in L'Estartit, Spain, after an eventful journey through France in the snow.

One of our stops was to be the aire at Trebes & as many will know this is on the tow path of the Canal du Midi, a delightful spot. Unfortunately it has been closed with a substantial barrier, so if anyone has plans to stop there....

As it was getting lat we stayed in the car park of the sports center close by with another French van, but there is no signs that this is an official aire. :Sad:

Apparently it's been closed since August or so.
They have closed the piece of road that the motorhomes used for years & have covered the waste emptying point .
it is supposedto be due to the worsening state of the road surface & rather than repair it, the easy option to close the Aire was taken
Another one to knock off the list
