I have a new Fiat ducatto (Bessacar E560) On a recent trip (windy conditions) the mirror on drivers side kept moving out of position . Gradually got worse when the slip stream from lorries from the opposite direction whacked the mirror towards the cab door. There is a groove which the mirror is supposed to sit in but this does not seem to hold it.

There does not appear to be any way of tightening the unit so it was a case of trying to push back the mirror while driving ( which could be dangerous or stopping every now and then to adjust it .

Just wondered if any one else had had this problem and what steps they took to resolve it.

Has it been knocked at all? Even gently?

These mirrors are notoriously cheap and nasty! The frame work is very poor quality ally cast which is very weak. Slight knock can break one/both arms and they will flip about as yours is doing.

Peel back the rubber boot - and you will see the arms. Check if one is broken/damaged - someone may have clipped it whilst parked - usually the case.

They are expensive new - but there is a company that does copies that are really good.
