Apologies if this topic has been covered elsewhere. In our Moho we have LED strip lights above all the cupboards and LED spotlights around about. There are also five ceiling lights each of which has 9w PL bulb. It it worth changing bulbs to LED? I appreciate I will need to remove the guts of the light fitting to install the led fittings. Is the power saving worth while if we are operating without EHU most of the time. If it is worth while what wattage LED bulbs will I need to get the same light output? If it makes any difference we have a solar panel on the roof (no idea what rating).

As a rule of thumb LEDs take 10% of incandescent current.

Fluorescent tubes are marginal.

You don't have a lot of choice in size of LED, just the fitting. You choose white which is pretty stark or warm which is close to incandescent.
