just returned after our boat broke down on way to Isle of Man from Tarbert Loch Fyne we had to put into Girvan harbour. Couldnt help but ask harbour staff about camper vans in car park. It appears this is the last free car park on the coast which allows overnight parking. Public toilets close at 7.30pm Lovely scenery and plenty places to eat large park and great beach for walks.

didnt think Girvan habour was big/deep enough for commercial ferries.

lovely town though...been many times while in dumfries and galloway.

main shopping street is far too long...takes shirl hours to get from one end to the other
