Autotrail Hab Door Handle Kaput (1 Viewer)

Hi all as the title says handle Kaput. The locks all work even the central locking but when you try to open the Hab door from outside there is a lot of play before it bites and then not enough movement to release the door catches so have to use cab doors and then open the hab door from the inside
The best price I can find for a new handle so far is £99.99 If you know of a better price It would be appreciated.
As you can see from the pic' the offending piece is the little lever made of monkey type metal any one know of a repair that could be made to the lever that would stand up to the rigours of continual use?

What about asking a local locksmith or one that repair double glazing doors. They might have a parts bin that could help you.
